Barbara Fritz

Passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Barb was born August 26, 1932 in Kalamazoo, daughter of the late William and Madeline Beek. Barb loved traveling and spending winters in Florida. She retired from Bloomingdale Public Schools after over 25 years serving as a Kindergarten Teacher. Barb loved music and was a very skilled piano player. She was a long time member of Bloomingdale Christian Church and hosted bible study groups for over 50 years. Barb enjoyed working on the farm and especially loved when her father would join her in the blueberry patch. She loved a little bit of ice cream with her chocolate sauce but more than anything Barb cherished time spent with her family and friends. Surviving are her children, Bill (Pam) Fritz, Michael (Susan) Fritz and George (Bernadine) Fritz, all of Bloomingdale; 9 grandchildren, Kristin (Tylor) Kubiszak, Peter (Chelsea) Fritz, Joshua (Candice) Fritz, Ted (Kelsey) Fritz, Benjamin Fritz, Summer Fritz, Madeline Fritz, Carly (Mark) Parsley, Lance (Emily) Fritz; 10 great grandchildren, Molly, Cooper, Anslee, Jase, Tucker, Kayson, William, Riley, Oliver, Tessa. She was preceded in death by her husband George who passed in 2011 and her parents. The family will meet friends on Saturday, July 3rd from 10AM until time of funeral services at 11AM at the Bloomingdale Christian Church, Pastor Brett Champion officiating. Interment will follow in Tucker Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bloomingdale Christian Fellowship. Arrangements entrusted to the Bloomingdale Chapel, D. L.
