DeKam, Barbara Ann Kalamazoo Passed away Friday June 21, 2021 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Barbara was born March 27, 1950 in Parchment the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Lester) Francisco. She retired after 27 years as a BSN for Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Surviving are three children, Monica Francisco-DeKam, Gabriel (Jenny) DeKam, Jessica DeKam; brother, Brian (Cindy) Francisco; sister, Pati (Chuck) Hill; six grandchildren, Amara, Brenna, Chloe, Ashleigh, Kyle (Jenn), Tyson; four great-grandchildren, Liam, Lyla, Jade, Jesse; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kevin and Mike Francisco; three sisters, Mary Jo Kocsis, Colleen Francisco-Magnan, Maureen Francisco-Kewitt. Friends will be received 5-8 pm Friday July 2, 2021 at Redmond Funeral Home, Kalamazoo. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Saturday July 3, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kalamazoo Humane Society or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
