Audrey Ledyard

Audrey Wilson Ledyard, age 81, of Sturgis, Michigan passed away early Wednesday morning, November 9, 2016 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis. She was born September 19, 1935 in Manchester, England. Audrey resided in the Sturgis area since the 1950s and lived in Kalamazoo from 1965-1976. In 1960 she married David Wilson. This marriage ended in divorce. On August 23, 1981 she married Max Owen in Sturgis. He died November 25, 1982. She married Herbert Ledyard in 1994 and this marriage ended in divorce. Most of Audrey's working life was in the restaurant business as a waitress. She had worked in several area restaurants including Herrmann's Restaurant in Sturgis and she retired from Wilson's Restaurant in White Pigeon following 12 years of dedicated employment. Audrey was a member of the Eagles Lodge #1314 and enjoyed crocheting, playing BINGO and collecting stuffed animals. She is survived by two sons: David (Debra) Wilson of White Pigeon, Franks (Elise) Wilson of Denver, Colorado; two grandchildren: Landen Wilson and Alexis Kearney; several step-children, step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Susan Jean Wilson; one son: Ream Owen and one brother: David Kerwin. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-2331. Funeral services celebrating the life of Audrey Ledyard will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Larry Wallman will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Sturgis Memorial Gardens in Sturgis.
