Arnold B. Harvey, age 88, of Paw Paw, MI passed away Saturday evening, July 23, 2016 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born Sept. 17, 1927 in Glendale, MI the son of the late Raymond and A. Mable (Johnson) Harvey. Arnold was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated the Harvey Ford Dealership in Paw Paw for 40 years, retiring in 1994. Arnold was very active in his community serving as President of the Paw Paw Centennial Committee, serving on the Paw Paw Village Council, President of the Paw Paw Housing Commission, member of Paw Paw-Lawton Lodge # 25 F & AM, Desert Sheiks Shriners of Kalamazoo for 27 years, Township of Paw Paw Constable, Deputy Sheriff for Van Buren County, Paw Paw Elks Club, American Legion Post #68, Paw Paw, and an active member of the Paw Paw Fire Dept. for 63 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying his airplane and most of all enjoyed the close relationship with his entire family. On Sept. 20, 1950 in Paw Paw he was united in marriage to Marilyn McKee who survives. Also surviving are four children, Linda (Allan) Hassler of Paw Paw, Dennis (Daphne) Harvey of Paw Paw, Dale (Mary) Harvey of Paw Paw, and Scott (Cheryl) Harvey of McBain, MI; 17 grandchildren;17 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Wednesday (7/27) 6-8 pm at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held on Thursday, 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Ron Packer officiating. Interment will follow in Wildey Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions made to the Kalamazoo Shriners Club or Paw Paw Fire Department.
