Beason, Arlene 10/28/1923 - 11/9/2021 Kalamazoo Michigan II Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." Arlene Beason entered the presence of her Heavenly Father early Tuesday morning, November 9, 2021. Arlene was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 28, 1923, to Enoch and Edith Reinhold. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of 7 years and dedicated her life to full-time service at 19. Prior to her marriage, Arlene traveled with the Smitty Girls quintet in Christian Evangelistic meetings with well-known evangelists. Their travels included the USA coast to coast, Jamaica, Canada, and Bermuda. Arlene was united in marriage to Douglas Beason on June 3, 1949. Together they faithfully served the Lord at churches in Toledo, Ohio; Santa Monica, CA; Sedro Woolley, WA; and Kalamazoo and the Grand Rapids area, MI. They also worked with COME International Baptist Ministries. Arlene was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ann; her father, Enoch Reinhold; her birth mother, Edith Reinhold; her stepmother, Pansy Reinhold, and her husband, Douglas. She is survived by her son, Paul Beason of Watertown, MA; daughter, Joy and Bill Bell of Kalamazoo, MI; son Timothy and Lori Beason of Otsego, MI; grandchildren Jennifer and Edward Jones, Kathryn Bell, Sarah Beason and Daniel and Corrie Beason, and great-grandchildren, Trey and Madelyn Jones. A memorial service will be held at Maplelawn Baptist Church on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11:00 am. For those of you who are not able to come to the service in person, we welcome you to watch it live on Maplelawn Baptist Church Facebook page. The service will also be achieved for future viewing.
