Archer Willis Johnson “JJ”, age 55, passed away on December 29, 2015. Archer was born in Coahoma, MS on August 11, 1960, son of the late John and Maggie (nee: Bean) Johnson.
He was married to Chevelle Wilson in 2000. Archer was last employed as a truck driver with Wisconsin Plating. “JJ” will be best remembered for his ability to fix things, play the guitar and drums and tell a good joke.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Chevelle; children, Latanya (Devlon) Miles,Gia Wilson and Shayla Johnson; step-children, Saidah, Lyphus and Omari Wilson; grandchildren, Latricia, Lauren and Lataya; siblings, Katie Davis, Nancy Johnson, Walter Johnson, Effie “May May” Blunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. JJ was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Earnest Bean.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 9, 2016, 2:00 p.m., with his nephew, Rev. Carl Davis officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at 2:00 p.m.
