Ann C. Clayton, age 78, of Bangor, MI passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017. Ann was born February 26, 1939 in Plainwell, the daughter of the late Carl and Mildred Wahmhoff and had lived in the Bangor area since 1961. Ann was very involved in her church where she volunteered for Christian Service, St. Vincent De Paul, Daughters of Mary and many other programs. She had worked for Bangor Public Schools as the Food Service Manager where she became famous for her chocolate chip cookies. Ann also volunteered for hospice and the South Haven Hospital coffee shop. Surviving is her husband Frank "Butch" of 37 years; 4 children; Scott Roe of League City TX, Cathy Kimbler of Bangor, Jenny Ford of Portage, Jeff (Laura) Roe of Bangor; 2 step daughters Shelley (Rob) Allen of Hartford, Julie Clayton - Fristick; 15 grandchildren; siblings, Carl (Shirley) Wahmhoff; sisters, Marie Walker, Gerry (Fran) Wahmhoff, Ellie (Dan) Krezenski, Lucy (Gerry) Remington, Joe (Linda) Wahmhoff, Rita Wahmhoff, Barb (Bill) Maury; sisters in law, Carol Roe and Deena Hay; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Dale Roe, a son Brian Roe, brother Fr. Andrew Wahmhoff, sister Joni Detzler, Brother Bob Wahmhoff, brothers in law Harold Roe and Frank Hay and her parents. The family will meet friends on Thursday, April 6th, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8, with a rosary service at 7:30 PM at the Bangor Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, www.dlmillerfuneralhome.com. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, April 7th, 11 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fr. Robert Flickinger Celebrant. Interment will follow in Arlington Hill Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Christian Service or St. Vincent De Paul.
