Angelo Gabriel

Gabriel, Angelo 8/25/1934 - 10/28/2021 Kalamazoo Passed away Tuesday September 28, 2021 at The Springs at Bronson Place. Angelo was born August 25, 1934 in Battle Creek the son of Angelo and Clementine (Casari) Gabriel. He retired from Flowserve in the accounting department and was a member of their baseball team. Gabriel was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and TOPS group. He loved sports, bulldogs and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was united in marriage to the former Patricia Kordela who preceded him in death on November 4, 2016 after 57 years of marriage. Also preceding him in death was a son David in 2013; sister, Alice Roman Vals in 2010. Surviving are a son, Greg Gabriel of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Erin (Joe Urka) Gabriel, Jake Gabriel; two great-grandchildren, Elenore and Jude; brother, Louis (Laura) Gabriel of Battle Creek; two sisters, Rose Jordan of Kalamazoo, Stella (Bert) Brooks of Grand Haven; several nieces & nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church, 11 am Tuesday October 5, 2021. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
