Angela Young

YOUNG - Angela Elizabeth Young, of Kentwood, formerly of Caledonia, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2009. She is survived by her son, Roger; two grandchildren, Ruby Claire and Martha Angela of Melbourne, FL; six sisters, Marie Beck, Leola Peters, Arline DeLange all of Dorr, Linda Belknap, Margie Bouwman, Michelle (Rick) VanKampen all of Grand Rapids; two brothers, Delbert Steffes, Clifford (Barbara) Steffes of Dorr. She has four brothers-in-law in the Detroit area, Adam Piekarz, Clairence Kaprouski, Dave, Richard Glen and Carl (Cindy) Young; a special mention goes to sister-in-law, Linda and nieces, Becky, Diane and Whitney. Angela has many many nieces and nephews (over 50) and wonderful friends. She was an avid church goer and choir member at Holy Family Church in Caledonia. She was a member of the "Red Hat" Society and loved to knit, crochet and sew for those in need. She was always in favor of a good card game and will be missed by many. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9669 Kraft SE with Fr. Raymond Bruck, celebrant. Members of the family will receive relatives and friends at the Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Caledonia), 616 E. Main St. Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Rosary Service will be held Friday at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations to Hospice of Michigan are preferred over flowers.
