Angela D. Wiseley, 35, of Augusta passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2005, as a result of injuries suffered in an auto accident near Macon, Georgia, while traveling to Florida for a family vacation.

Angela previously worked at the Elkhart County Council on Aging in Elkhart, Indiana. From 1996 to 1999, she was the associate director of Burnham Brook, moving on to become the Manager for Senior Services of Calhoun County, as well as serving on the board of directors for the Southwest Regional Rehabilitation Center. In August of 2005, she returned to Burnham Brook to serve as its executive director.

During her tenure with Calhoun County, Angela worked to establish the Senior Millage prescription discount card program and implement the Senior Millage program, which provides a myriad of services to seniors throughout Calhoun County to aid them in living healthier lives during their aging years. Angela was a tireless advocate for older adults and their families, but also a friend to everyone she met. It took only a few minutes with her to feel that she was really interested in you as a person and was someone with whom you could build a lasting friendship. Angela was loved by her family and friends for her ever-present smile, contagious personality, non-stop energy, and can do attitude.

Angela was a graduate of Comstock High School and received a master's degree in social work from Western Michigan University. She and her family were avid supporters of her al mater, University of Michigan, from which she obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology.

Angela is survived by her husband, Timothy; her beloved sons, Jared (7) and Brendan (3); her father, William Jones of Kalamazoo; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Lisa Jones and their sons Kyle and Wyatt Jones, of Clarkston, Michigan. At the request of the family, memorial services to celebrate Angela's life will be held 4:00 p.m., today, January 6, 2006 at Burnham Brook, located at 200 West Michigan Avenue, Battle Creek.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Angela Wiseley Memorial Fund at the Battle Creek Community Foundation or to Burnham Brook would be appreciated. For additional information, please contact Burnham Brook or the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home.
