Amy Olson-Schwerin

Amy Marie Olson-Schwerin, age 34, passed away August 17, 2022 after a twenty-four-year fight through chronic kidney disease. She was born May 25, 1988 in Jackson, Michigan and lovingly adopted and raised by parents, Mark E. Schwerin and Sandra L. Olson. Amy was a 2007 graduate of Gull Lake High School. The center of her world, daughter Angel, was born shortly thereafter in 2008. Her cherished canine, Riddler, also played a large role in her life, getting her through many tough times. Amy's small stature and love of Mickey and Minnie Mouse affectionately earned her the nickname "Mouse." Though small, she made up for it in bravery, personality, and a huge heart. Amy was known to care for her friends any way she could, always with an open-door policy for those in need of help. She could be sweetlaughing and goofing around with a great sense of humor. She simply enjoyed having a good time. In her spare time, she could be found listening to music or watching her favorite TV shows and horror movies. Amy is survived by her adoring parents, Mark Schwerin and Sandy Olson; brother, Nicholas "Nick" Olson-Schwerin; daughter, Angel Mae Olson-Schwerin; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special friends, Isaac Pio, the father of her daughter, and Tiffany Metheny. A memorial service will take place Wednesday, September 7 at 4:00pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S Burdick St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007.
