Alvin Koster

Alvin Koster, aged 92, of Hudsonville, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord surrounded by his family on Christmas Day, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marjorie (Brumels) and his five children, Robert and Judy Koster, Donald and Linda Koster, Kenneth Koster, David and Linda Koster, Mary and Jon Parm; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Herbert and Virginia Koster, Harris and Jeanette Koster; his sisters, Ruth Nieboer, Rachel and Kenneth Hulst; his sister-in-law, Norma Koster; his brother-in-law, James and Nancy Brumels. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Henrietta Koster, his daughter-in-law, Diane Koster; and his brothers, Cliff, Sidney, Floyd, and John Koster. Funeral and committal services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Jamestown Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Walcott and Pastor James Yerke officiating. Interment Georgetown Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family at the VanderLaan Funeral Home Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jamestown Baptist Church.
