Almeda Nichols-Wood

Nichols-Wood, Almeda Vicksburg Passed away Tuesday morning, May 31, 2022 at the age of 95. Almeda was born March 4, 1927 in St. Joseph, MI, the daughter of Oscar and Louise (Clark) Huntington. She was married to William Nichols for 43 years before his passing in 1987. She married Harold Wood on February 14, 1991 who preceded her in death on December 15, 2021. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters and a brother. She is survived by her sister Nancy (Howard) Marr. Almeda loved bowling, dancing, cooking, knitting, and crocheting. She leaves behind three daughters, Claudia Josuns, Caroline Stout, and Eleanor Wiltse. She had 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who all called her Aunt Red. Graveside services were held at Vicksburg Cemetery.
