Alexander Mann, 85, formerly of Canadian Lakes, MI, died Sunday, December 16 at Logan Acres in Bellefontaine, OH. He was born to the late Benjamin and Helen (Lubnibski) Mann on September 4, 1922 in Detroit, MI. In August of 1946 he married Irene A. Marecki in Detroit, MI and she preceded him in death in 2004 along with brothers, Tony, Leo and John and sister, Bernice Czarnecki. He worked for K-Mart Corporation in Detroit, MI as a Mechanical Engineer. A member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Remus, MI, he was a WWII Marine veteran, he graduated from the University of Detroit and was a member of the Detroit Engineering Society. An avid golfer, he wintered in Sebring, FL. He is survived by his son, Curtis (Karen) Mann of Bloomfield Hills, MI and daughter, Ilene (Jerry) Heaton of Bellefontaine, OH; grandchildren, Christopher, Elizabeth and Matthew Mann; and nieces and nephews. Private Services for family and friends will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21st at Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, OH with Gene Marine officiating. A visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
