Albert Zahn

Albert Zahn, age 92, of Holland, passed away Oc-tober 21, 2013, at Holland Hospital. Albert grew up in Cleve-land, Ohio, and appren-ticed as a metal pat-tern maker at the age of 16. When the war start-ed, Albert answered the call and served in World War II, primarily in Guam. In 1941, he mar-ried Bernice D’antinio, who stood by his side un-til her death in 2003. In 1995, he and Bernice re-tired to Holland, Mich-igan, where he would spend the rest of his life. Albert enjoyed helping his grandsons on projects and was especially fond of spending time with his great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Rob-ert, sisters Selma Kovacs and Evelyn Uhlman. He is survived by his sons, Albert and Su-zanne Zahn of Holland, Roy Zahn of Newman, CA; grandchildren, To-ny and Melanie Zahn An-drew Zahn; great- grand-children, Molly, Nicolas, and Allison Zahn; brother, Paul Zahn of Cleveland, OH; many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Friday, October 25, 2013, at 11 a. m. at Lake-wood Cemetery in Hol-land.
