Ada Visser, 97, passed away Sunday evening, April 12, 2020. Ada was born February 6, 1923, in her family home in Kalamazoo the daughter of Phillip and Anna (Jager) Mejeur. Ada was a lifelong member of Second Christian Reformed Church where she enjoyed attending the Tie That Binds. She volunteered at Appalachia Reach Out well into her 90's. She enjoyed being outdoors working in her yard. Her children, grandchildren, and great-children were an important part of her life. She loved her siblings very much and enjoyed spending time with them and friends. Ada began her working career at Sutherland Paper Co. and retired in 1985 from James River. On June 9, 1943, Ada was united in marriage to Thomas Visser, who preceded her in death on January 27, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sisters and brother, Anne Munger, Nellie Middlebush, Rena DeHaan, and Garry Mejeur. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Mary) Visser, Linda (Cornie) DenHarder, Sandra (Douglas) Howe; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Harriet Jeffrey; brother, Philip (Marcia) Mejeur; and several nieces and nephews. Due to the Coronavirus there will be no service at this time. Private interment was held in Portage Central Cemetery.
