Passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014. Ray was born September 15, 1930 in Kalamazoo, the son of the late Clyde and Esther (Klett) Eagly and was a life long resident of the area. He was employed as a paper maker for 44 years in several different companies in the Kalamazoo area. On September 22, 1951, he married Barbara J. Cornell, who preceded him in death on January 13, 1998. Raymond is survived by his son, Raymond C. Eagly of Kalamazoo; his grandchildren, Jason and Rachel Eagly of Kalamazoo; and his great-grandchildren, Aidan, Madilynn, Mason and Brynleigh. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, April 23, in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave., with Pastor James Dyke officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, (TODAY) at the funeral home from 5-8 PM. Memorials may be made to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission. 343-1508.
