Delores Kloosterman

Delores Jean Kloosterman, age 69, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014 in Baton Rouge, LA. She was born on January 1, 1945 in Kalamazoo, MI a daughter of Marinus and Jeanie Bolle. Dee lived in Kalamazoo most of her life and was a member of Centerpoint Church. She worked for Phil Gernaat & Sons Greenhouses and Park Village Pines. Dee was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Bolle. On March 26, 1966, Dee married Richard "Dick" Kloosterman, who survives. Also surviving are: two sons, Russell (Becky) Kloosterman of Prairieville, LA and Brian (Stephanie) Kloosterman of Franklin, TN; eight grandchildren, Stacey, Stephen, Sarah, Christopher, Benjamin, Maya, Grace and Carlos; a brother, Arlyn (Robyn) Bolle of Kalamazoo; a sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Bolle of Kalamazoo; they fostered a number of children and always considered Shannon Doorlag-Leonard as one of their own; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, April 21, from 4-6 PM in the chapel of Centerpoint Church, 2345 North 10th Street. Services will begin at 6 PM with Rev. Dr. Jeff Porte, officiating. Following the service, there will be a light supper. Private interment in Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South will take place Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Azalea Estates 2305 S. Purpera Ave., Gonzales, LA 70737. Azalea Estates is an assisted living facility where Dick is residing.
