Carl Anderson

Passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Age 69. Carl was born in Plainwell on September 18, 1944, the son of the late George and Camilla (Allen) Anderson. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He was employed by the City of Kalamazoo Waste Water Services. He loved to do yard work and spend time with his dogs, Molly and Ruby. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Victoria (Santantonio) Anderson; his son, Andrew Anderson; and his granddaughter, Emily Anderson of Bangor; his step-mother, Alice Anderson; one sister-in-law, Anna (Jack) Ginther of Kalamazoo; three brothers-in-law, William (Ruth) Longest of Kalamazoo, Jack Bowker and Chuck Nichols; special nieces, Wendy Ginther, Sara Van Dyk and Kelly Longest; many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bonita Johnson; two sisters-in-law, Mary Nichols and Clara Bowker; several step-brothers and step-sisters; and special friends, Kathy and Marcia. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 PM on Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007. The funeral service will take place at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1747 W. Milham, Portage, MI 49024. Graveside service with military honors will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Rev. Paul Nuechterlein will officiate.
