Marion Curto (Nee: Odeimen)

Marion (Nee: Odeimen) Curto, age 82, Racine, WI, walked on Friday, April 11, 2014, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. She was born in Detroit, MI, November 8, 1931 daughter of the late Anna Odeimen and Joseph Devoss. Marion was raised by Anna and Dan Keweygeshik. She moved to Racine in 1958.

Marion was a proud member of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians. After raising her five children she worked at West View Nursing Home for 12 years as a caregiver and retired. Marion enjoyed ceramics, gardening, canning, puzzle books, and embroidery. She was also a fantastic cook and baker of bread. Above all she was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her children, Sara Curto and husband Ron Lipke, Ella Curto, Diane Eick, and David Curto; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth Cruz, Jennifer, Andrew, and Daniel Eick and their father James Eick, Nicholas Curto and Holly Morgan and their mother, Wendy Hayek; a great granddaughter, Keaira Eick; sisters, Roseane Alexander and MaryJane Brimacombe; her close longtime friends, Jackie Mianecki and Janie Spaulding. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Robert Curto – Odeimen and a brother, David Odeimen.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2014, 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Reverend Mark Jones officiating. Relatives and friends may meet Wednesday 4 P.M. until time of service at 5 P.M.
