Shirley J. Schmuck, 58, of Battle Creek, died Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at her home.
She was born April 4, 1947 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Robert and Lena (Tharpe) Newell and was a 1965 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School.
Shirley was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, co-president of Cherished Teddies Bearly Enough Collectors Club, enjoyed playing Bunco, scrapbooking, all crafts and her pets.
She had worked at Sullivan's Dairy, Cut Rate Supermarket and Transamerica, and currently was a court transcriptionist.
On November 13, 1971, Shirley was united in marriage to Keith Schmuck who survives.
Also surviving is her twin brother: Charlie (Chris) Newell and brother, Larry (Lynn) Newell both of Battle Creek; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. David L. Dryer officiating.
Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association or Calhoun County Medical Care Facility.
