Philip Chaffee

CHAFFEE, PHILIP Our son, brother, uncle and friend, Philip Chaffee aged 57 of Grand Rapids passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday May 16, 2012. He is survived by his parents Gene and Ruth of Grand Rapids, brother Steve (Teri) Chaffee of Ada, brother David (Kathy) of Rockford, and his nieces and nephews Jake, Jenna, Mitchell and Piper. Phil was a practicing attorney, former real estate broker and community business leader. He was in many community groups including on the board of directors at Alano Club of Kent County, and well known in the local yoga community. Phil will be remembered for his intellect and being able to bring a smile to all with his quick wit. Mostly though, he will be remembered for his generous heart and love for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alano Club of Kent County, 1020 College Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. A celebration of Phil's life will be held 12:00 P.M. (noon) Saturday May 19, 2012 at the funeral home. The family will greet relatives and friends Friday at the funeral home from 6-8pm and Saturday from 11-12 (noon). The family is being served by:
