Lucille Adams

Lucille Judy Adams, 93, of Battle Creek, passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 at Laurels of Bedford near Urbandale (Battle Creek) MI where she resided for the past 11 years. She was born June 25, 1918 near Levering, MI the daughter of George and Myrtle (Chase) Baughman. Lucille moved with her parents to Battle Creek when she was 4. She then lived on Marie Street in Sellersville. She married Elmer James Adams in 1936 in Battle Creek, MI, he predeceased her in 1978. She is survived by her son, Maynard L. (Penny) Adams of Battle Creek, MI; granddaughter, Debbie (Franklin) Adams of Lafallette, TN; grandson, Maynard Adams, Jr. of Battle Creek, MI; 4 great-grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren, Jamie and Crystal; and 5 great step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; step-mother, Lily; brother, Henry Baughman; sister, Verda Adams-Rugg; infant son, Donald and son, Elmer, Jr.; infant grandson; and infant granddaughter. Visitation will be held Monday from 6:00-8:00 PM and Tuesday from 11:00 a.m.to 1:00 p.m. at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Pastor Kevin McCarty of Bedford Bible Church officiating. Burial will be at the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford Township, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association .
