Robert Gorter

GORTER, MR. ROBERT C. Grand Rapids Mr. Robert C. Gorter, age 84, of Grand Rapids passed away February 3, 2012 after a very brief illness. Surviving are his children, Deborah (Brian) Bahs, Lorri (Dan) Nastaj, Leslie Hamlin; and friend, Rodney Fulbright; grandchildren, Julie Nastaj, Sgt. Robert Anthony (Erica) Nastaj of U.S. Army; great grandson, Jonathan Nastaj. He was the former owner of Thomas C. Gorter Motor Express Inc. Robert was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and a former member of the Elks. Robert was preceded in death by his wives, Edith and Edna (Hepp-Pawers). Per his wish, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date. Interment of Cremains Holy Cross Cemetery. Robert's family wishes to thank the staff of Faith Hospice and suggests memorials to Trillium Woods of Faith Hospice or St. Mary's Doran Foundation.
