Oliver Dorn

Oliver Dorn, age 90, of Holland, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, February 2, 2012, with his family by his side.

He was preceded in death by a son, William, in 1972.

Ollie was a member of Maplewood Reformed Church, was the former owner of Dorn Plastering, and worked for several area contractors as a brick layer. He retired as the manager of Leisure Estates in Holland. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving during World War II.

Ollie is survived by his wife of 66 years, Alma; sons, Mike and Donna Dorn, of Holland, Mark and Linda Dorn, of Arboles, CO, Bob and Vicki Dorn, of Hol­land, Tom and Sandy Dorn, of Holland; eight grand­children, Scott and Cathy Dorn, Missi and Cory Potter, Matt Dorn, Jamie and Tim Sanders, Travis and Leslie Dorn, Bill and Becky Dorn, Howie and Samantha Bau­mann, Jordan and Tiffany Miedema; 12 great-grand­children; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral and commit­tal services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at Langeland- Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St., Holland with Rev. Aar­on VanDer Veen and Tom Dorn officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cem­etery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Maple­wood Reformed Church Memorial Fund or Wings of Mercy.
