Marvin VanDyke

VAN DYKE, MR. MARVIN J. Grand Rapids Mr. Marvin J. Van Dyke, aged 87, of Grand Rapids, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thressa; son, James Schut; brother, Donald Van Dyke; and sister, Norma Niewkoop. He is survived by his son and daughter, Maynard and Suzanna Van Dyke and Eunice Slagter of Kentwood; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Wilma Van Dyke, Gerard and Cobie Wolfsen, Maxine Schut, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday 3:30 p.m. at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel with visitation prior to the services from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Rev. Karl Pike will officiate. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society .
