Edward Bowler

BOWLER - Edward C. Bowler, aged 78, of Grand Rapids passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2011. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Richard C. and many brothers and sisters. Ed will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Barb; children, Beth (Zeke) Chambers, Deb (Dave) Goller, Jackie (Rick) Bontekoe, Ed (Lisha) Bowler, Rich (Nancy) Bowler, 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends. Ed was in the Navy during the Korean War. He worked for 43 years at Rapistan. He enjoyed wood working, sports, computer technology and being with his grandchildren. He always enjoyed being a part of the gang at St Alphonsus. The family would like to give a special thank you to Faith Hospice for the loving care they showed Ed. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011 at St Alphonsus Church, 224 Carrier St. NE with Rev. Bernard Carlin C.Ss.R. as celebrant. Friends and relatives can greet the family on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave. NE and one hour prior to the Mass on Saturday at church.
