Lorraine (Gard) Gray

GRAY - Lorraine (nee Gard) Gray went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 12, 2011 After a long and courageous battle with cancer. She will finally see her husband Marvin and a son Gordon, along with her parents Vernon and Iva Gard, who went on before her. Lorraine is survived by three sons and their wives, James and Juanita, Tom and Sharon, Steve and Linda; three daughters and their husbands, Carol and Richard Brown, Diane and Dave Northouse, Janice and Phil Nugent. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brother, Robert Gard and sister Barbara and Edwin Schmieding. Lorraine went to Godwin High School and retired from St. Mary's Hospital where she worked as a unit secretary. After retirement, she worked at Goodwill Industries until the age of 70. Lorraine will always be remembered by her faith in God, love for her children and her smile, even through life's challenges. Funeral Services will be at Grand Rapids First Assembly of God , 2100 44th St. at Byron Center Ave. SW, with viewing in the Prayer Chapel on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Internment at Blythefield Memorial Gardens.
