Ruby (Bogart) Acker

ACKER - On May 9, 2011, Ruby Maxine (Bogart) Acker of Cascade, passed from this life. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. She was born August 19, 1926 to Archie and Clara Bogart in Crystal, Michigan, and was one of six brothers and sisters. Ruby married Berfield (Bud) Acker on December 17, 1949 and together they raised three children, Karon, Randy and Gary. She was mostly a stay-at-home mom who loved sewing, gardening and taking care of her family. For several years she and Bud wintered in Mission, Texas, enjoying warmer weather and visiting with friends. At her passing she leaves behind her husband of 61 years, Bud, daughter, Karon (Richard) Baird, Randy (Ann) and Gary (Cathy). Also missing her will be grandchildren, Scot, Dennis, Rick, Douglas Baird, Tom and Tara Cariano, Cody, Connor, and Kyle Acker, and Jeff (Jennifer) Kuehle, She will also be missed by great-grandchildren, Zack, Nathan, Wyatt, Shawn, Braxton, Madelyn and Myles, and several nieces and nephew. One grandson, Billy Kuehle, preceded her in death as did her brothers, Cecil and Glenn and sisters, Olive, Ruth and Lila. Funeral services will be Friday 11:00 a.m. at the O'Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Rev. Timothy Murtaugh of Cascade Christian Church, officiating. Interment Blythefield Memory Gardens. Visitation Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of One's Choice. O'Brien Eggebeen Gerst
