Michael Smith

SMITH - Michael Scott Smith, age 35, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011. While attending Cedar Springs High School, Scott took part in football, track, and wrestling. After high school he worked for Drakes driving hi-lo. He enjoyed listening to music, playing board games, and spending time and attending Family of Christ Church where he was a member. Michael knew and trusted in the promises of Jesus who has conquered death for him, and has provided the hope of the resurrection. He is survived by his daughter, Justine LaMonte; father, Michael J. Smith of Sand Lake; mother, Jaclynn Smith, and significant other, Duane Croad of Gowen; sisters, Angie Moyer of Howard City, Leslie Croad, Brandi Croad; brother, Jeramie Croad, all of Gowen; grandparents, Mrs. Shirley Esterley and Mrs. Joan Van Plew; nieces and nephews, Cody Moyer, Austin Moyer, Kaylee Moyer, and Jaden Moyer; aunts, uncles, and cousins. The service for Scott will be Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 1:00 at Pederson Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Bowditch officiating. Those desiring an expression of sympathy may consider the needs of the family. The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
