GORT - Edwin C. Gort, age 80, of Grandville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 4, 2011. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Marilyn; children, Mark and Kristin Gort, Mike and Paula Gort, Jim and Lynn Gort, Beth and Bob Goeman; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Maria and John Ashley, Joy Gort, Shanna and Dave Grigolette (Cheyenne, Dakota, Autumn), Jill Gort, Michelle Gort, Paul and Jessica Gort, Amber and Tim Leugs (Matilda), Philip, Matt, and Mackenzie Gort, Stephanie and Brandon Goeman; brother, Henry and Lois Gort; sister, Maxine Bell; brother-in-law, Clare and Eileen Bouma; sister-in-law, Joyce and Rev. Robert Holwerda. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at Calvary Christian Reformed Church, 3500 Byron Center SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Robert Holwerda officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Back to God Ministries.
