Life Story / Obituary
Theodore W. Aalderink, 69, of Arizona, formerly of Holland, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at Hospice House of Holland. He had resided in Phoenix, Fountain Hills and Clarkdale, Ariz., before moving to Holland in February 2004. He was employed as an electronic technician at Honeywell and General Electric for 25 years, and had also worked for Lockheed Martin for five years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Gerritt Schmit, in 1997. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Greta; children, Roxann and Steve Schmit of Auburn, Wash., and Rhonda and Shane Phillips of Cole Camp, Mo.; seven grandchildren; stepmother, Marie Van Dyke of Holland; sisters, LaVerle and Morris Peerbolt, Janet and Gene Boerman of Holland; stepsister, Myra and Al Van Beek of Edgewater Beach, Fla.; stepbrothers, Dale and Betty Mulder of Grand Ledge, Glenn and Carol Mulder of Lansing, and Lyle and Mary Mulder of Holland; father-in-law, Henry H. Bouwman of Holland; in-laws, Stuart and Emily Bouwman, Judy and Jarvis Van Klompenberg, Lloyd and Rose Bouwman, Marlene Ramirez, and Terry and Darlene Bouwman, all of Holland, Patty and Mike Van Bragt of Allegan, and Kathy and Jeff Youngberg of Glendale, Ariz. Services are 1 p.m. Friday the at Notier-Ver Lee-Langeland Funeral Chapel, 315 E. 16th St., with the Rev. Henry Vanden Heuvel officiating. Visiting will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice House of Holland or Relay for Life of the Holland Area.
