Paul Hovinga

HOVINGA - Paul M. Hovinga, aged 46, of Grand Rapids, was released from his valiant battle with cancer on Thursday, September 30, 2010. Paul's final journey will be peaceful. He was born on February 17, 1964 to Clyde and Mary J. Hovinga. Paul was a car and motorcycle enthusiast. His willingness to always give a caring hand to family, friends and neighbors will be shared and remembered by all. His was a valuable soul. Paul was preceded by his parents and is survived by his siblings, John (Diana) Hovinga, Mark Hovinga, Mary Hovinga, Katherine (Michael) Bojas; and many nieces and nephews. He was blessed with the familial friendships of Peter Swanson, Tim and Betsi Riva, Todd Riva, Teri and Kelly Miller, Tammy Jones and Jenny Longfellow. Paul wishes to thank the staff of Metro Cancer Center. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Metro Health Cancer Center is appreciated.
