Ronald Sheler

SHELER - Mr. Ronald L. Sheler, aged 69, passed away Monday, September 27, 2010. He was preceded in death by his mom, Alice "Lyda" Ludlow; brothers, Roger and Alvin. Surviving are his children, Ronald Sheler II, Joanne Sheler, Nicole Sheler-Holmberg; grandchildren, Ronnie, Aaron, Austin, Samantha, Riley, Hailey; nephews, Allen and Brian Sheler; dog, Trudy. Ron worked concessions for many years at Towne Hall Bingo Hall and also worked for Steelcase. He enjoyed drag racing, loved his red corvette, and was a member of Grand Rapids Street Racers. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, at Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. The family will greet relatives and friends Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with burial expenses and any excess to be donated to American Cancer Society.
