Died September 16, 2010 at Bronson Hospital, Kalamazoo. Ted was born June 4, 1920 in Hamtramck, the son of Matthew and Eleanor (Rompala) Pulaski. His family moved to the Buckley/Traverse City area around 1939. Ted served in the US Marines from May of 1944-August 1946. He participated in action at Okinawa, Ryukyu Islands and the occupation of China. Ted farmed and raised cattle in Williamsburg for many years and worked at Parsons in Traverse City. Later, he worked and retired from the US Postal Service in Traverse City. Ted enjoyed farming, family, wine making and inventing things. He will be dearly missed by friends and his family: wife Ida (Doolittle) Pulaski; his 2 children: Lunny Green and Thaddeus A. Pulaski, Jr.; 3 step-children: Jack Green, Loren Green and Wanda Stahlbaum; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren; 6 sisters: Rita Oja, Angie Forbeck, Virginia McIntyre, Theresa Kunky, Bunny Leatherman and Veronica Wilson; and many nieces and nephews. Ted was preceded in death by 5 siblings: Alphonse, Tobias, Peter, Mary Davis and Sister Mary Digna Pulaski. Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass is tentatively set for 10 AM, Saturday, October 16 at St. Mary’s in Hannah.
