OBITUARY:

Janet DeVries, age 80, of Holland, passed away Tues­day, August 31, 2010, at the Laurels of Hudsonville.

Janet was a member of First Assembly of God. She loved spending time with her family and being out­side in her flower garden. She enjoyed listening to Detroit Tiger baseball on the radio.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband, John DeVries in 1980; and a son, Kurt Woudwyk in 1979.

She is survived by her children, Will Jr. and Mary Ann Woudwyk of Holland, Rick and Sheryl Woudwyk of Zeeland, Vicky and Rick Lampen of Hamilton, Rocky Woudwyk of Holiday, FL; four grandchildren; broth­er and sisters, Evelyn and Milford Potter of Moline, Virginia Westman of Byron Center, Noramae Victory of Jenison, Melvin and Rita Scholten of South Blendon, Lois Harmsen of White Cloud, Ethel and Duane Wolbers of White Cloud; brother and sisters-in-law, Sena Scholten, Mildred Scholten, Lois Scholten, Sid­ney and Carolyn DeHaan, Genevieve Jackson, Marilyn and Conrad Bastiaanse, Ron Woudwyk, Lori and Lance Reitsma, Janice and Juan Montes, Will Sr. Woudwyk, Tony and Lorraine Woudw­yk; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be 11: 00 a. m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at First Assembly of God, 1331 East 16th Street in Holland. Rev­erend Mike Houser will be officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10: 00- 10: 45 a. m. prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to First Assembly of God Church.
