John Tyler

Mr. John W. Tyler, age 91, died Friday, July 16, 2010. He was born in Muskegon, MI on April 18, 1919 to Otis & Celia (Jensen) Tyler and served his country in the US Army Air Corp. He married the former Georgia B. Peacock on May 30, 1942. Mr. Tyler had been the owner & operator of Inter-Cities Truck Sales for over 30 years. He was a member of the Old Newsboys since 1945 and the Elks, Eagles, Moose & Viking lodges. John enjoyed bowling & golfing. SURVIVORS Daughters, Leslie Boeve, Kathy (Michael) Swanson, both of Muskegon; grandchildren, Shelby, Kelli & Katlyn Swanson; great granddaughter, Chloe Swanson; many nieces, nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia in 2008; siblings, Charlotte, James, Bessie, Mary, Otis, Maxine & Eleanor; sister-in-law, Vivian. SERVICE Monday, July 19, 2010, 1:00 PM at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Ben Jansen officiating. Interment at Evergreen Mausoleum with Military Honors under the Auspices of the Muskegon County Council of Veterans. VISITATION Sunday, 6-8 PM and Monday, 1 hour prior to the service at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: Linne Lodge #57 Viking Scholarship Fund or Harbor Hospice.
