Sylvia Buchanan

BUCHANAN - Sylvia Buchanan. In loving memory of Sylvia C. Buchanan who went to be with the Lord on June 20th, 2010 at the age of 86. Sylvia was born on November 28th, 1923 in Grand Rapids, MI. She was preceded in her death by her loving husband George and son Steve. Sylvia a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend has been an Arizona resident since 1996. She is survived by her devoted sister, Connie Kooi of Cave Creek; loving daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ron Holzschu; grandchildren, Alex and Samantha of Naperville, IL; adoring daughter-in-law, Jamie Drinkwater Buchanan; grandchildren, Bryce and Kelsie of Carefree, AZ; nephew, Bob and wife, Sue Oberg of Fairhope AL. Sylvia was a devoted volunteer with the Desert Foothills Theater and a member of the Congregational Church of the Valley of Scottsdale. Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 25 at Reyers Mortuary, 2815 Fuller NE, Grand Rapids, MI, 49505. Services will be held on 10 a.m. Saturday at June 26 at Fairplains 2056 Diamond Road North East, Grand Rapids, MI. 49505.
