Carolyn Curtiss

Formerly of Portage and Vicksburg. Passed away Mon., June 14, 2010. She was born Sept. 29, 1919 in Trowbridge Twp., Allegan County to Oromel and Laura (Ream) Warfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell "Bud" Curtiss in 1989. She attended Trowbridge United Methodist Church as a child and later, Vicksburg United Methodist. Mrs. Curtiss is survived by her children, Ronald (Takeko) Curtiss of Seaford, VA, Laura (Arland) Cederquist of Montague, Clifford (Martha) Curtiss of Oak Harbor, WA and Kenneth (Barb) Curtiss of Worms, Germany; her brother, Loren (Jean) Warfield of Schoolcraft; sisters, Florence Wicks of Kalamazoo and Virginia (Jerry) Bell of OH; grandchildren, Ron Curtiss, Rosemary Curtiss, Tom Cederquist, Paul Cederquist, Chris, Robin, Sarafine, Joanne and Lazlo Curtiss; six great grandchildren; and special friend, Cindy Pawlowski. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Harold and Bernard Warfield, and sisters, Elaine Schilling and Mary Jane Luscomb. Visitation: held Fri., June 18, 6-8 PM at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby. Funeral Service: Sat., June 19, 1 PM at Mount Ever-Rest Cemetery in Kalamazoo.
