Chasity Lees

Chasity Reba Irene "Chasy" Lees, age 26, went to be with the Lord, on Saturday morning, May 15, 2010, at her residence. Chasy was born on August 3, 1983 in Battle Creek and was the daughter of Ricky Clayton and Patricia Ann (Lannin) Lees. She was known by her nickname, "HayDawg!". Chasy was a 2002 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and had attended Davenport College and Kellogg Community College. She was employed as a machinist for Marley Precision of Battle Creek for the past five years. Chasy was an outdoors person from the very beginning; was an avid hunter and fisherman; enjoyed river rafting and dancing, but her true passion in life was her family and friends. Chasy is survived by her parents, Ricky and Patty Lees of Battle Creek; two sisters, Fawn M. (James) Hunsicker and Heather L Lees, both of Battle Creek; three nieces, Alexis, Emily and Jeslyn Hunsicker; a nephew on the way, Clayton Hunsicker; her maternal grandfather, Gerald Dunn of Olivet, MI and several aunts and uncles including aunts, Cindy (Jeff) Herriff, Willie Hack, Karla LeBoeuf and Sherry McCowan, all of Battle Creek and her uncle, Kenny (Liz) Dunn of Battle Creek. Chasy was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Reba Lees and Nancy Dunn. At the request of her family, friends may call today, Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Battle Creek. The funeral service to celebrate Chasy's life will be held on Wednesday, May 19th at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Sunnock, Pastor of the Victory Life Church of Battle Creek, officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Battle Creek. Memorial contributions in Chasy's honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN, 38148. Chasy was a wonderful daughter, sister, niece and friend to all and will be greatly missed by all of us!
