Roger Ensing

ENSING - Mr. Roger D. Ensing, aged 76, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010 and now awaits the resurrection ~ John 11:25. He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Dorothy (Beld); his daughters, Laurie (Jeff) Schutter, Amy (Randy) Freeburg; his grandchildren, Jackie and Erik Schutter, Alex Freeburg; his sister, June (Frank) Burt; brother, Willard (Mary) Ensing; brothers and sisters-in-law, Stella (Orrin) Koning, Gladys (Donald) Wohlford, Edna (Chuck) Osborn, Richard (Shirley) Beld, Theresa Raynor, Clarence Beld and many nieces and nephews. Roger was a veteran of the Korean War. After serving his country he worked for Michigan Consolidated Gas Company retiring after more than 43 years. Roger enjoyed sports throughout his life. When sidelined due to illness, his passion for sports continued as he tuned in to watch his favorite teams on television. Roger lived his life with dignity and grace and will be missed by those who loved him. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Tuesday, April 6th at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont, MI.
