James L. "Mac" McMillon

James "Mac" L. McMillon, 66 of Battle Creek, died February 12, 2010 at Borgess Medical Center. He was born November 9, 1943, the son of Church L. and Phyllis L. (McNeil) McMillon in Battle Creek. Mac worked as a stockman and was also known as Captain Safety with Wal-Mart for 15 years retiring in 2005. He is survived by his wife, Denise (Rose) McMillon of Battle Creek; children, Becky (Bob) McFalls, Bill McMillon, Jennifer McMillon, James (Cora) McMillon Jr., Corrine (Quincy) Carlson-Hall, James McMillon III and Daniel (Christy) McMillon; siblings, GRoy (Deb) McMillon, Patty McMillon, Donna (Ernie) Cantebury and Aunt Marvel Goins. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Devon. Mac enjoyed collecting knives and coins, fishing, hunting, making people laugh, being with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00- 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Shaw Funeral Home. Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the funeral home with Ellery Rose officiating. Interment at Reese Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
