Julia M. Lookabill, age 98, of Holland, died Thursday, February 03, 2005, at Shore Haven – Mercy Living Center in Grand Haven.

Julia was born in Greenville, MI. In 1968 she moved to Holland from Grand Rapids. Julia was a member of Hope Church, and the Ladies Circle at Hope Church. She was a former member of the Tulip Town Tuners. Throughout her life, she had been employed at Resthaven Care Center in Holland as a nursing assistant and for over 16 years, she worked at Wurzberg’s Department Store in Grand Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Crater Lookabill in 1967 and her daughter Marilyn Cunningham in 1995. Surviving is her son-in-law, Gordon and Esther Cunningham, of Holland; 4 Grandchildren-Gary Cunningham of Troy, MI, Julie and Steve Bronsink of Byron Center, Kathie McLeod of Holland, and Doug and Marianne Cunnigham of Holland; 10 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; sister-in-law-Kathleen Cheeves of North Carolina; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 11 am Monday at Hope Church, 77 West 11th Street, with the Rev. Kathryn Davelaar officiating.

Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Grand Rapids.

Visitation will be 2-4 Sunday at the Dykstra Life Story Funeral Homes-Mulder Chapel 188 West 32nd Street.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shore Haven Mercy Living Center.
