Donald Hoeve

HOEVE - Donald E. Hoeve, aged 77, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, January 18, 2010. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Cherry and his stepson, Daniel Melven. Donald will be greatly missed by his wife of 37 years, Pat; stepchildren, Glenn Melven, Cynthia (Patrick) Hauge, Douglas Melven, Samuel Melven; granddaughters, Jennifer Hurst and Alexandra Keim; great-grandson, Bryce; sisters, Margaret and Arlene; brothers, Russ and Joe. Donald served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He proudly supported Amvets, Grand Rapids Home for Veterans, and VFW Post 208. He enjoyed spending his time with the "crazy eights" group. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service for Donald will be held on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
