Donald Fein

FEIN - Donald Lawrence Fein, age 65, of Shelbyville, passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, January, 9, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Fein. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years, Judith (Homrich) Fein; son, Jeffery and partner, Richard Hahn; mother, Marian Fein; siblings, Jerry (Fran), Jim (Janet), Virginia (George) Black, Kathleen Fearnow, Dennis (Lois), Mike (Sue), Pat (Kim), Marge (Gary) Weick, Ann (Bob) Miller; in-laws, Betty (Roger) Simons, Phyllis Hodge, and Vivian (Don) DeVos; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Dr. Enrico Sobong, Spectrum Health 5th floor oncology nurses and staff, and Spectrum Health Hospice nurses, for the special care given during his stay. A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Mary's Visitation Catholic Church, 2459 - 146th SW, Byron Center with Fr. Christian Johnston presiding. Interment will be at St. Mary's Visitation Cemetery. The family will meet with relatives and friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Byron Center Chapel of Cook Funeral Home, 2067 - 84th SW. A Vigil Service will be held on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice or Renucci House.
