Robert Riddering

RIDDERING (PIERSON) - Robert R. Riddering, age 69, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Virginia; sisters, Patricia, Mary Schollaart; brother, Lawrence. He retired in 1991 from the General Motors Plant #2 on Alpine. Bob loved to spend time fishing, hunting, traveling, camping, and working on odd jobs out in his pole barn. Bob was a devoted husband to his wife of 19 years, Judy; a loving father to his children, Rob and Kelli Riddering, Rich and Lori Riddering, Julie Bateson, Dale and Laura Sharp, Ann Cox; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Rita and Dennis Kavanaugh; brother, Tom and Lee Riddering; brother-in-law, Don Schollaart; several nieces and nephews. As Bob had wished cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be offered on Wednesday, December 23, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Alpine with Fr. Tom Simons Celebrant. Military Honors under the Auspices of the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard. Inturnment in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Friends may meet the family at the Church on Wednesday 1 hour prior to the mass.
