Perry B. Cornelissen, age 63, of Holland, passed away on Sunday November 15, 2009 from cancer at Hospice House of Holland.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Gerhard and Iola (Trevan) Cornelissen and his two brothers, Gerritt Cornelissen and Gordon Cornelissen.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Kathy; his three daughters, Kari (Marc) Veenman, Kimberly Purgiel, and Kellee (Cullen) Geisler; his grandson, Nicholas; and his granddaughters, Bethany, Hanna, Bailee, Emma, and Mara. Also surviving are his three brothers, Michael, Leslie, and Warren Cornelissen; his sister, Corrinne Boes; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Perry was a Vietnam Veteran and retired after thirty years at Hydro Automotive and twelve years at Hart and Cooley of Holland. Most importantly, he was a proud Citizen of the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians, Gun Lake Tribe.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will begin on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 2:00pm at the Luella Collins Community Center, 419 126th Avenue, Shelbyville, MI 49344. A feast will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests contributions be made to the Gun Lake Elders Program, P.O. Box 218, Dorr, MI 49323, Attention: Leah Fodor or to Hospice House of Holland, 270 Hoover Blvd, Holland, MI 49423.
