Herbert Hunt Sr.

Passed away on November 16, 2009 at his home. Herbert was born on July 7, 1924 in Chicago, IL the son of the late John and Helen (Kozlowski ) Huntowski. Herbert was a Veteran having served in the US Army Air Corps. He was employed by Orrin B Hayes, Jim Gilmore Cadillac Pontiac and retired from JA Richards in 1987. Herbert was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion (Flauter) on November 23, 2001; a grandson, Johnathan Bradley in 2003; two brothers and four sisters. Herbert is survived by a son, Herbert J. Hunt, Jr. (Jennifer Smallcombe) of Parchment; four daughters: Marcia (Terry) Grimmer of Galesburg; Patricia (Robert) Garcia of Scotts; Deborah (David) DeRight of Oshtemo and Jacqueline Hunt-Hatfield (Keith) of North Branch, MI; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a great great grandson and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 1-3 PM and 5-8 PM at PARCHMENT REDMOND Funeral Home 2300 East G Ave. (269) 343-6156. Where a Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 20, 2009 at ST. Ambrose Catholic Church in Parchment. Fr. James O'Leary Celebrant. Interment will be In East Cooper Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association .
