Louis Simunic

SIMUNIC - Mr. Louis Michael Simunic, of Traverse City, Michigan, formerly of Bay City and Grand Rapids, passed away suddenly October 17, 2009 at Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, age 54. He served four years with the US Army and then retired after 16 years of service from the US Air Force. He loved playing softball and bowling. Mr. Simunic is survived by his daughters, Nicole Simunic of Holland and Heather Simunic of Grand Rapids; his grandson, Cody; his parents, Louis John and Geraldine Simunic of Mancelona; a sister, Kathy (John) LeCronier; three brothers, John (Betty) Simunic, Jim (Marge) Simunic and Brian Simunic; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2009 at the Gephart Funeral Home, 201 W. Midland St., Bay City, MI 48706, (989) 686-2291. Officiating will be Sr. Joanne Toohey, O.P. followed by military honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council.
