Roberta Goble

Roberta died Sunday October 11, 2009 at Tendercare of Westwood. She was born April 22, 1916 in Battle Creek, MI the daughter of Merle and Mable (Boggs) Van Arman. Roberta worked in a variety of office work starting at the Kalamazoo Stove & Furnace Co. then to Gibson Guitar and then to the Kalamazoo Police Department. On August 28, 1942 she was united in marriage with Jack Goble who preceded her in death in 1988. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Merry Peluso and her faithful companion, Molly her West Highland Terrier. Roberta loved to tend to her flowers at home and found great joy in cooking and baking for her family and friends. She loved music and knew how to play the banjo, fiddle and mandolin. Roberta also helped her husband Jack in his construction business in Parchment. Per Roberta’s wishes, there will be no public services. Private interment next to her husband Jack will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
